DAY 1:             Casablanca-Rabat

Meet at dedicated arrival Hotel and have a brief review of the tour, check in, dinner and accommodation in Casablanca. (D)

Visit the economic capital of Morocco, the central market, the Habous district, the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V square, the residential area of Anfa and the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque. Enjoy a seafood lunch at a local seafront restaurant. After lunch continue on to Rabat for a city tour which includes the Royal Palace Mechouar, the Oudaya Kasbah, the Mohamed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. Check-in at the hotel and freshen up and then meet for dinner in Rabat (B,L,D)

 

Day 2-3:          Rabat/ MoulayIdriss/ Volubilis/ Meknes/ Fez

Day 2 we depart Rabat and visit of the Ismalian capital famous for its 40 km long walls, visit Bab Mansour, the Royal stables and the Jewish quarter. After lunch continue on to the holy city of Moulay Idriss, via the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, before continuing on to Fez. Check-in and freshen up then meet for dinner in Fez. (B, D)

Day 3 the day is devoted to the city-sightseeing of Fez. The religious capital of Morocco includes medieval Medina with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas; the Nejjarine fountain, MoulayIdriss mausoleum, and Karaouine mosque. Enjoy a Moroccan lunch at a traditional restaurant in the Medina. In the afternoon visit Fez Jdid.   Return to the hotel to freshen up and meet for dinner. (B, D)

Optional: In the evening attend the magnificent sound and light show

 

Day 4:              FES-MIDELT Visit of a Berber Village

Depart Fes and leave the modern and Imperial cities and start a new experience in the Berber region by heading to the Atlas mountains. The Berber are the first settlers in morocco and they mainly live in the atlas mountains and desert. Some of them are still nomads. Our destination, Midelt, is in between the middle and high Atlas mountains.

Along the way photo stops at Ifran and the forest to enjoy the Barbary Monkeys on the cedar trees. We also stop for a picnic.

Check-in and freshen up for Dinner (B,L,D)

 

Day 5:              MIDELT-MERZOUGA -Photo stops and lunch along the way

Continue crossing the Atlas Mountains towards the desert and dunes. Fabulous photo stops along the way and we stop for lunch. Once in the dunes, we stow our luggage in an Auberge and take camels for an hour and spend the night in a Basic Camp under the stars in the desert. Dinner and Folklor. In the morning we ride the camel’s back to the Auberge for breakfast.

 

DAY 6:                         MERZOUGA-TOUDGHA Photo stops along the way

From Merzouga towards Toudgha Gorges, we cross the oasises of the south and enjoy the colors, palm trees and valleys with ‘Blue Men’ of the Moroccan desert. Check-in hotel in Toudgha.

 

Day 7:                          TOUDGHA

Late start we walk for two hours in the fields to know more about the Berber and their culture and way of life. As guests in a Berber family home we have lunch. Back to Hotel and optional to try traditional Hammam and Henna tattoos.

 

Day 8:                          TOUDGHA GORGE-AIT BENHADDOU

Today we head towards AitBehaddou with photo stops in KalaatMagouna to know more about the roses and the destilation of its water. We then continue to Ouarzazate, the capital of Cinema in Morocco and visit one of the Kasbahs(fortified Berber House) which is part of the UNESCO heritage, Lunch then continue to AitBenhaddou villiage

 

Day 9:                          AIT BENHADDOU-MARRAKECH

We leave AitBenhaddou Village crossing the Atlas mountains again towards the ‘Pink City’ of Marrakech. Check-in and have a free afternoon. Meet for dinner in Jamaa El Fna Square.

 

Day 10:                        MARRAKECH – Half Day Tour of Marrakech

The morning will be devoted to visit the most important places of the city which includes the palaces, gardens, medina and its souks.   Free afternoon and final dinner and show.
